|Yelizovo is a town in the Kamchatka region of Russia. Located on the Avacha river in 32 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The main sectors of the economy are fishing and fish processing industry. Through the city passes the highway Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky – Ust-Kamchatsk. The population of 39 thousand people, to 80.85% Russian, 5,82% of Ukrainians, of 2.04% Koryak.

Based in 1848 year as the village Old Jail. In 1897 has received the name Zavoyko, in honor of the Governor of Kamchatka V. S. Zavoyko. In 1924 was Yelizovo, in honor of the commander of guerrilla group G. M. of Yelizovo, who died in Kamchatka.
